Simone Battle, cantora de 25 anos que fazia parte da girl band G.R.L., foi encontrada morta na passada sexta-feira, na sua casa em West Hollywood, e as autoridades de Los Angeles confirmaram agora que a artista se suicidou, enforcando-se. Não serão avançados mais pormenores. 

A notícia da morte de Battle foi confirmada num comunicado da editora das G.R.L. no qual se lê: "estamos muito tristes com a trágica notícia da perda da Simone Battle, das G.R.L.. A Simone era uma jovem excecionalmente talentosa e estamos todos devastados por saber da sua morte". 

Natasha Slayton, uma das colegas de Battle na girl band, que esta semana viu o single de estreia "Ugly Heart" entrar no top 10 britânico, escreveu no Instagram: "estou inexplicavelmente de coração partido e devastada com a perda da nossa melhor amiga e irmã, Simone Battle. Simone, nunca vou perceber por que razão nos deixaste desta forma, mas vou amar-te semrpe".
