Benjamin Curtis, guitarrista da banda norte-americana School of Seven Bells, faleceu, vítima de linfoma. 

Natural do Oklahoma e radicado no Texas, Curtis criou os School of Seven Bells em 2007, com a cantora Alejandra Deheza. O grupo lançou vários EPs e três álbuns, o mais recente dos quais, Ghostory, em 2012. Nesse mesmo ano, os School of Seven Bells tocaram em Paredes de Coura. 

Benjamin Curtis soube ter cancro no começo deste ano, recebendo a ajuda de músicos como Paul Banks (Interpol), Devendra Banhart e Albert Hammond Jr (The Strokes), que contribuíram para reunir fundos para pagar os tratamentos médicos. 

Além de Paredes de Coura, os School of Seven Bells tocaram também em Guimarães, no Festival Manta, em 2000. 

No final de novembro, Benjamin Curtis escreveu, no Facebook, estar no hospital com a família.
